ok does anyone know if the Jews had any ceremonies that resemble baptism? or was this a revolutionary novelty that was given to John the Baptist by God? I suppose the fact that he is called "the baptist" should be my first clue that it began with him. I am just curious to see if there are any more insights to his ministry. Whoever desires to become great, let him be your servant...the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve. Matt 20:26-28.

Jesus spelled out the path to greatness in these verses for all to see. He even explained how He, Himself walked this path of serving others.

If greatness is defined, not by how many people serve me-but by how many people I serve, I've got some serving to do today.
